Academic Clinic Ends

The first ‘Academic Clinic’ providing tutoring lessons in English, Mathematics and Social Studies subjects ended on August 26th 2010 at CCP’s Community Center, Kawangware. The two week’s event saw 70 sponsored children in our Sponsorship Tuition program attend.

'Academic Clinic'

A two weeks ‘Academic Clinic’ commenced on August 16th at CCP’s Community Center, Kawangware. More than 60 sponsored children are being tutored in English, Mathematics, and Social Studies subjects through illustrations, story telling and participatory activities such as singing and dancing.

Good Hope Carries the Day

Good News Clubs’ (GNC) ‘Bible Quiz Competition’ took place on August 14th 2010 at CCP’s Community Center (CC), Kawangware. Five CCP’s GNCs competed against each other on the theme Godly Characters. Good Hope took the trophy home while Ngando were the runners up.

Guardians’ Training

Kawangware and Ngando guardians learnt on “Choking, Fire Safety, Burns and Germs” at a training held on August 14th, 2010 at Free Pentecostal Church, Kawangware. Guardians were enlightened on response and preventive measures on the above mentioned topics. The training was facilitated by four nurses; Donna Woods, Mindy Throop, Susan Mullen and Dana Athans from Christ Church of the Valley, California, USA.
